Plans are well underway for the 2009 NALTA Conference.
The Board wanted to give you a taste of what to expect. Click HERE to see the full color brochure.
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort where you will be staying is amazing! It is made up of private bungalows most with their own fireplaces and patios. At this point NALTA will pretty much have the facility to itself. There is plenty of space to meet, mingle and connect – but this time it isn’t just a Hotel lobby it is out around the pools and outdoor common areas.
A link has been established on the NALTA website where you may go to make your reservation, and it isn’t too early to make those reservations.
Education is NALTA’s main objective, and Martha Cheshire who is our Education chair has an incredible line up for you!
Wednesday Seminar will have Jim Wilson, who will present The Business of Oil and Gas which looks at every aspect of our industry w/in a single day, Land, Geology, Exploration, Production, Economics and Reserves. Jim Wilson is an adjunct Professor with the University of Oklahoma and President of EDI, LLC in Oklahoma City and we are very fortunate to offer his classes as they are extremely popular.
Thursday and Friday will be filled with new and popular returning speakers. We are very proud to announce that Dorsey Roach , Kathleen Sgamma, Doug Potter, Alyce Hoge and Terrill Williams will be there. Can’t get enough of Law and Order on TV, an interesting class you might really want to take a look at is White Collar Crime in the O&G Industry by Bob Krupa with the FBI, and if you are into motivational classes, try Take Life by the Helm by Doug Nielsen and one we all probably need Effective Presentation & Interactive Skills – The Neuroscience of Business by Donna Dowling.
You say you want a little fun to make the knowledge settle better? Well, our Thursday evening event is called Native Spirits and will give you a taste of the local culture and an excellent dinner. DFW-ALTA is sponsoring a golf tournament on Wednesday afternoon and we are working on a block of tickets to the Friday night Diamond Back professional baseball game. Add to that a lovely city with great shopping, spas, hiking tours and the best golf courses in the country how can you help but have a great time?
The room costs are lower than last year at $145.00 per night plus tax and gratuities and conference fees have stayed the same to meet the needs of our current economy. This is one you won’t want to miss so start making your plans now.
